Old Growth Black Gum Swamp in Ontario's deep south

The Black Gum Red Maple swamp ecosystem is exceptionally rare in Canada, only a few known examples of this forest type exist in small remnant patches of old growth Carolinian forest near the shores of Lake Erie, in Ontario's far south.
